Graduate Placements

Automation IT has a strong commitment to the training of young engineers. Graduates with work experience in PLC & SCADA control systems are encouraged to submit resumes.

Responsibilities will include project management, PLC & SCADA programming and site commissioning. A strong IT background will be highly regarded.

Systems Engineers

Automation IT currently has positions available for control systems engineers with at least 2 years industrial experience (not including industry placements during full time study).

Key criteria include:

  • The acceptance of your important role in the team
  • Customer satisfaction, from time to time we all must carry out work that is not specifically ours to satisfy the overall goal and customer focus. Your enthusiastic involvement in this is highly regarded
  • Maintain high standard of communication skills verbally, and where necessary in writing, for customer enquiries and orders
  • Project management skills
  • Relevant electrical knowledge
  • PLC & SCADA exposure and understanding
  • A willingness to travel for short periods for site commissioning

Senior Systems Engineers

Automation IT currently has positions available for senior control systems engineers with at least 10 years industrial experience.

Key criteria include:

  • The acceptance of your important role in the team
  • Customer satisfaction, from time to time we all must carry out work that is not specifically ours to satisfy the overall goal and customer focus. Your enthusiastic involvement in this is highly regarded
  • Maintain high standard of communication skills, verbally and where necessary in writing, for customer enquiries and orders
  • Extensive project management and negotiation skills
  • Strong electrical knowledge and fault finding ability
  • Specific PLC, RTU & SCADA experience of an advanced level across multiple brands
  • Capability to design control cubicles and understand MCC design
  • Manage project resources and costs including multiple systems engineers
